Los investigadores que integran el Grupo MICROBIOLOGÍA APLICADA A LA SALUD PÚBLICA-ANIMAL Y DE IMPACTO AMBIENTAL (MASPAIA) tienen amplia trayectoria en investigación a nivel nacional como internacional, principalmente en las áreas de enfermedades infecciosas de impacto socio-económico que afectan a los animales de producción como son las enfermedades emergentes y reemergentes, con experiencia en enfermedades zoonóticas de amplia distribución como la leptospirosis, brucelosis, salmonelosis, entre otros, que debido al cambio climático vienen causando serios estragos en la Salud Publica
