N2 - A new Andean species of Phyllonastes is described from east-central Peru (Departamento de Pasco, 2900 m elevation). The new species differs from all known Phyllonastes by lacking discs with circumferential groove on the toes, inguinal spots, and dorsolateral stripes. The new species shares characters with members of the genus Phrynopus, which suggests possible relationships between the genera.
