The author attempts to compare the work of two poets on the basis of analysis of literary figures and argumentative techniques. It is a perspective of Comparative Rhetoric. The two poets made a critique of hegemonic power structures and this is evident in two representative poems: "The ration" and "Cappella Sistina".
