Abstract

Echeveria andicola Pino, a new species endemic to central Peru, is described. Although fairly common in the departments of Junín, Pasco and Huánuco, the plants had formerly been identified as E. chiclensis or E. peruviana; however, careful analysis supports the recognition of these plants as an unpublished species. A comparison with other similar species of the area is presented.
