Abstract

Environmental education is one of the great challenges worldwide; allows the training of critical people, with projects to create a more sustained, inclusive and sustainable world. Therefore, the relevance of environmental education in the current scenario is evaluated, whose goal is to achieve the consolidation of the sustainable development objectives of 2030. Consequently, the research focuses on three fundamental aspects: 1. It indicates that the crisis environmental a campaign that is the product of abbreviations of growth in industrial, economic and social matters, with negative impacts on the life of the planet. 2. Analyze the theoretical-philosophical dimension contained in the objectives of sustainable development. 3. Points out the importance of environmental education, understood as education for sustainable development, as a means to ensure the achievement of the proposed goals. It is not intended to be forceful, on the contrary, to open the discussion around the importance of expanding the field of action of environmental education, linking it with ethical positions that lead to a more humane and humanizing world.
