Abstract

A total of 160 eight to nine month old pigs from poorly managed farms in four districts of southem Lima were tested by ELISA to determine the presence of Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae antibodies. The samples were collected at two slaughterhouses in the Lima valley. The incidence ofpositive animals was 11.25% (18/160), with no significant correlation between the presence ofpositive animals and geographic area ""\f origin found using the Chi-Square test.
