Abstract

Most studies about critical factors in the implementation and development of e-government point to national environments. The aim of this paper is to determine how these factors influence each level of local e-government development. Through an empirical study and with the application of multivariate analysis and the main component technique, it was determined that all the proposed factors have the necessary sphericity characteristics to indicate that the variables are related to each other. In addition, the KMO test with 95% confidence verified that 27 of the 55 relationships were valid. The results also indicate which factors are the most influential in each level of e-government development, which allowed validating the model under study.
