Abstract

Pigs from 7 well managed commercial farms were studied in order to detect the presence of Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae antibodies. Blood samples were collected at slaughter from 370 apparently normal, 17 to 20 week old unvaccinated pigs, and an ELISA test was used to detect Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae antibodies. A total of 45 pigs (12%), distributed in ali 7 farms, tested positive.
