Abstract
A new species of the pimelodid catfish genus Myoglanis is described based on distinctive features including a large number of anal fin rays and a Weberian complex with the posterior transverse process of the fourth vertebra slender, elongate, and V-shaped. The new species is described from Mishana, Rio Nanay, a small tributary of the Rio Amazonas in Peru.
