Abstract

We report the study of the CaLaBaCu2.80(BO3) 0.2O6.4-compound which is superconductor at the critical temperature of 68 K. This compound was prepared by the solid state reaction method under normal conditions of pressure and temperature, replacing a percentage of copper (x=6.7%) from CaLaBaCu3O7-δ (La1113) by the oxianion borate (BO3)3-. Tc onset was determined by measurements of magnetic susceptibility by using a SQUID detection system. The X-ray Rietveld analysis of this compound can be characterized by orthorhombic symmetry (Pmmm).
