Abstract

Abstract Currently, the training of research skills is a topic of great interest for teaching in higher education, because it allows the university student to develop all the capacities to generate knowledge and solve practical problems identified in the different disciplines, from a formative point of view. Unfortunately, many students reach higher education with poorly developed research skills, with a high rate of plagiarism, few reading habits, among others. In particular, librarianship students are characterized by being involved in the work activity very early, so their research is aimed at solving problems, with their investigations basically descriptive and cross-sectional and, this is due, among others things, to the lack of innovative teaching strategies that allow them to develop these skills. The present investigation was of quantitative approach, of experimental design in its pre-experimental modality, it was worked with 32 students, where it was possible to conclude that the application of the program “Semilleros en aula” had a significant effect on the development of the research skills of the students of Librarianship career of the National University of San Marcos, existing notable differences in the pretest (31.29) and postest (78.28), accepting the hypothesis raised.
