Abstract
In the COVID-19 pandemic, health problems have been unleashed in a large part of the population. These problems are not only related to people's physical health, but, in a more implicit way, mental alterations are also present. The objective of this paper is to analyze discursively the alterations in mental health that have been evidenced in the Peruvian population, specifically those found in confinement or forced social isolation due to the COVID-19 pandemic. For this purpose, a series of testimonies extracted from cyberspace are studied. Methodologically, expressions and discursive statements of Peruvians that show reactions or concerns in relation to mental health are collected. The main alterations described in this work are stress reactions, anxiety disorders and depression disorders. The research concludes that it is essential to take this information into account, due to the serious consequences that could result from an alteration in mental health without psychological treatment or without any recommendation.
