Tide-induced motion in the Basrah Creek system (Iraq).

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

The Basrah Creek system consists of 6 interconnected main channels, connected to the Shatt-Al-Arab Estuary. To improve the water quality in this system, alterations in the geometry and flow patterns of the creeks are needed. The one-dimensional, instationary finite element numerical model MEDYNA/F was used to evaluate the effectiveness of several construction alternatives.
