Resumen
Objective: To determine the proportion of diagnosis records of preeclampsia in Peru and its characteristics. Method: Observational study of secondary-based analysis of the Electronic System of Information Transfer of the Institutions that Provide Health Services. The chi-square test was used to evaluate the association. Results: In Peru, 56.89% (CI95%: 55.06-58.72%) of the hypertensive disorders registered corresponded to preeclampsia. Within its characteristics it was found that there is a greater record of preeclampsia in EsSalud (63.61%, 95% CI: 59.82-67.39%), in the II level of care (60.56; CI95%: 58.36-62.77%) and in the region of the jungle (64.98%; CI95%: 60.59-69.37%). A lower proportion was found in the range of 40 to 49 years of age. (49.61%, 95% CI: 44.63-54.59%). Conclusion: Preeclampsia is the most reported hypertensive disorder nationwide. The highest proportion of records was found in the private sector, in the II level of care and in the sierra region.
