Resumen
In the coastal areas of the province of Huaura, it has been found that 75% of its areas have increasing levels of salinity, leading to a decrease in the fertility of farmland, which harms the region since its economy is based on agricultural activities. This paper evaluates and determines the distribution of salinity, through a processing of satellite images obtained from Landsat 8 based on the main parameters of the saline soil; the electrical conductivity (CE) and with this result obtain which areas are optimal for the crop. It has been found that the correlation coefficient shows a normal and almost linear distribution with minimal discrepancy for validation, which can be considered acceptable for the estimated time. Concluding that this is an effective and low cost method for monitoring salinity of the lands of that region under study. and determining the optimal areas for cultivation.
