Resumen
From a theoretical-mentalistic perspective, the identities and linguistic attitudes of Andean migrants in the Villa Huanta human settlement in San Juan de Lurigancho (Lima, Peru) were evaluated. The qualitative and quantitative approaches made it possible to measure the variables referred to sex, age and schooling, for which the questionnaire, participant observation and semi-structured interview were used in a complementary manner. The quantitative evaluation allowed to identify that Andean migrants do not show a very high valuation of Spanish in relation to the Quechua language, especially in the affective sphere. However, from a qualitative perspective, this does occur in the cognitive and sociocultural domains, both among the youth and the adult population.
