Resumen
In health centers, it is considered that intermediate care units (IMCU) are aimed at patients who require a level of care lower than that of the intensive care unit (ICU) and higher than that of the ward; Therefore, they reduce mortality after ICU. This paper proposes an information system that allows constant monitoring of the vital parameters of patients in intermediate care units. Likewise, it incorporates functionalities of the operation of the nursing staff that is involved in this unit. Non-invasive sensors are used to read the patient's biological parameters and automated monitoring is carried out that allows nursing staff to be provided with accurate and timely information on the patient's condition and the notification of events or critical states.
