Resumen
It is postulated on this paper that the story “Calixto Garmendia” by Ciro Alegría presents the victim, an element that allows the visibility of injustice according to the proposals of Alan Badiou. The analysis of the way in which injustice is processed and assumed by the protagonist of the story, allows us to understand the final mea-ning of the dispossession of land that is the object, as this dispossession extends to the loss of the word and the renunciation of building a political space capable of trans-forming one’s own life and that of the community. Our study thus addresses the way in which, in “Calixto Garmendia”, the destruction of the political space from which it is only possible to claim our rights occurs. Injustice, in its most harmful dimension, would be the closure of any possibility of abandoning our condition as victims.
