The research sought to determine the influence of Managerial and Professional Competencies on the Budgetary Management of a Public Institution in Peru in the 2018 period; research oriented in the positivist paradigm of quantitative approach and causal correlational design. The results show that professional competences have a positive influence on the programming stage of the budget management of the Public Institution under study, which is why awareness-raising processes are suggested by all public institution authorities in Peru; promoting a change in the conception within which they have been managed assuming a challenge for the improvement of public service.
