Resumen
The purpose of the research is to analyze library evaluation as a protection of knowledge, since information capable of reconciling knowledge with skills capable of shaping fair societies is collected, preserved and distributed. A case study is carried out in the Central Library of the San Martin de Porres University of Peru through instruments that allow measuring the criteria established according to the National Accreditation Model presented by the National System of Evaluation, Accreditation and Certification of Educational Quality. It seeks to diagnose the operations in order to validate the inferences. In this sense, it underlines the social nature of instruction when critical thinking serves to subvert the impositions of contemporary totalitarianism in order to reconcile worthy coexistence. Meanwhile, the good functioning of the library provides the best relationships so that the communities express independence, sovereignty and autonomy as competencies that make contemporary emancipation possible.
